Lelaine Bigelow is the Director of Campaigns and Engagement at the National Partnership for Women & Families. She has over a decade of experience with the executive and legislative branches of government. Lelaine was most recently a political leader for Secretary Julián Castro’s congressional affairs department at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. During that time she drove outreach and communications strategy to Members of Congress through a team of ten and improved collaboration among the Secretary’s teams that built better bipartisan relationships. Her hill work includes working for Congresswoman Judy Chu, chairwoman of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee. She was named a Champion of Children by First Focus and helped to establish the National Commission on Children and Disasters. She is a graduate of The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management and the University of Florida. Lelaine resides in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC with her husband, Chris and son, Jack.
